Couture Spring 24 & PàP Fall/Winter 24-25

St. Gallen, March – Once again, numerous refined creations by Forster Willi and Jakob Schlaepfer were showcased on the runways of Haute Couture Spring 2024 and the Prêt-à-Porter Fall/Winter 2024-2025 Fashion Weeks in Milan and Paris.

“Fashion has always been an intriguing reflection of how we perceive the world at a given moment,” notes Elisheva Senn, Creative Director of Forster Willi. “Currently, fashion embodies secure values, with the focus on essentials,” Senn adds. The creations developed in collaboration with major fashion houses for the runways are predominantly timeless and minimalist. When something extraordinary was required, the highest level of craftsmanship was applied.

Selected Looks – Haute Couture Spring 2024

Forster Willi for Chanel

The CHANEL show celebrated pastel tones, lightness, and playful femininity, with ballet as the thematic inspiration under the creative direction of Virginie Viard. Forster Willi developed three runway creations:

  • Look 12 (Vogue Runway): A classic Guipure composed of a sophisticated blend of lamé and cotton.
  • Look 31 (Vogue Runway): A gem from the Forster Willi archive—a cotton Guipure featuring superimposed elements and buttons. The meticulous reproduction of the buttons was executed with utmost dedication and artisanal skill.
  • Look 35 (Vogue Runway): A captivating wool Guipure creation, distinguished by a harmonious interplay of colors—floral, luxurious, yet elegant.

Selected Looks – Prêt-à-Porter Fall/Winter 2024-2025

Forster Willi for Giorgio Armani

For the Giorgio Armani runway in Milan, Forster Willi developed a visual-print embroidery with cut-out elements. Various embroidery techniques were combined, and hand-applied three-dimensional floral motifs in different sizes enhanced the printed creations. Collaborating with an artist, Giorgio Armani created a unique floral pattern that ran consistently throughout the collection. The combination of color, print, and embroidery technique resulted in an exceptional creation.

Forster Willi for Akris

For the internationally renowned St. Gallen label Akris, Forster Willi created two designs. Creative Director Albert Kriemler drew inspiration from St. Gallen artist Katalin Deér. The Forster Willi creations feature a Guipure micro-stripe net, with Look 42 additionally incorporating foil printing for added visual impact.
