Fashion in Extraordinary Times

Couture Spring 2025 & PàP Fall 2025

St. Gallen, March 2025 – Once again, numerous refined creations by Forster Willi were showcased on the runways of Paris Haute Couture Spring 2025 and the recently concluded Prêt-à-Porter Fall 2025 Fashion Week.

“For me, fashion is always a balance between escapism and reflection. This season, one can feel designers addressing profound, spiritual questions while also expressing a desire for optimism and lightness,” explains Elisheva Senn, Creative Director of Forster Willi, describing current trends. Fashion, however, is more than a reflection of the present—it is a cultural statement shaped by innovation, sustainability, and the revival of traditional techniques. Forster Willi’s mission is not only to observe these developments but to actively shape them.

Selected Looks – Haute Couture Spring 2025

Forster Willi for Dior

For Dior’s Couture collection, Forster Willi brought Broderie Anglaise to life in a poetic vision, creating five runway designs. Archive embroideries, narrow and wide galloons, and fine mousseline in pure white evoke nostalgia and delicacy. Maria Grazia Chiuri drew inspiration from Alice in Wonderland—a world of lightness and imagination. The white gowns reference Victorian children’s clothing intertwined with surreal elements, where couture meets the imagination of a child, transforming fashion into a magical dreamscape.

Forster Willi for CHANEL

For CHANEL, Forster Willi created an exclusive design. Iconic CHANEL tweed was transformed through delicate Broderie Anglaise into an ethereal, lightweight expression. Filigree archive embroideries featuring subtle floral motifs adorn the sleeves, lending sensual transparency to the classic silhouette. Particularly striking are the characteristic “Sternbölleli” at the center of the flowers, giving the embroidery a distinctive signature. This collection, developed during the transition between Virginie Viard and Matthieu Blazy, radiates youthful, playful elegance, with pastel tones softening the strictness of couture.

Selected Looks – Prêt-à-Porter Fall 2025

Forster Willi for Cecilie Bahnsen

For Cecilie Bahnsen, Forster Willi developed ten exclusive fabric creations. The iconic maxi Broderie Anglaise was elevated with innovative laser techniques and padded nylon embroidery, imparting an avant-garde dimension. Floral appliqués adorned functional backpacks and padded jackets created in collaboration with The North Face. Particularly impressive was the hand-cut Broderie Anglaise in grey wool, crafted into a pencil skirt—a perfect fusion of classic elegance and sporty sophistication. Bahnsen’s signature style is evident in the balance between romantic lightness and technical innovation.

Forster Willi for Coperni

For Coperni, Forster Willi created a visionary embroidery. Designers Sébastien Meyer and Arnaud Vaillant drew inspiration from the dawn of the digital era, transforming the flicker of old CRT screens—the iconic “White Noise”—into a captivating textile illusion. Dense beading in a harmonious color palette captures the visual phenomenon on an elastic base that accentuates the feminine silhouette. The result is a futuristic elegance where technology and craftsmanship intersect.
